For example, where a program was tailored for a woman who was not pregnant, this would not be appropriate for her to use after becoming pregnant.

Sports Specific

Whether you are looking to achieve excellence in a particular sport or you are training for a specific event, Andrea Grace Personal Training & Consultation can design a programme and be there to support and instruct you every step of the way. All sports require a careful balance of muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility.

Our programmes are designed to take all of these requirements into account to enable you're desire for excellence.

Many people know they are ready for a challenge but want help choosing that first event. We can help you with our knowledge of local and national events that will fit in with your training programme.

 

Nutrition

Aside from training, nutrition is the most important influence on sports performance. To reach one's highest potential, all of the body's systems must be working optimally. The best way to achieve this is to eat a variety of nutritious foods. Calories, carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and fluids all play a unique and crucial role. Andrea Grace can provide advice and support on all aspects of nutrition including:- calories, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals, fluids and fluid intake, sports supplements, timing of meals, and much more.


Weight Management and the "Feel Good Factor"

Maintenance of a healthy body weight is important for maintaining both physical and emotional well-being and preventing disease. Excess weight and obesity have been associated with an increased risk for numerous medical conditions, including:- heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, some types of cancers, sleep apnea, and elevated blood cholesterol levels.

"New to exercise" programmes

All programmes are tailored to the needs of the individual. If you are new to exercise this could start with a managed brisk walk and stretching. For those new to exercise it is crucial that you enjoy the experience. Andrea Hulett will work with you to ensure you progress at a pace comfortable to you and matching your personal goals.
 

Group Sessions

Group training sessions are available, for teams, corporates, or simply people who feel more comfortable training in a group.
 


Andrea Grace

Andrea is a qualified Personal Trainer &  fitness instructor. Working as a freelance group fitness instructor for many years, including the state of the art centre at the University of Leicester and many other well known fitness studios around Leicestershire, has given Andrea a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw on.   

When not training one of her clients, running classes at franchised fitness studios, or putting groups through their paces in one of her own public scheduled courses. She likes to compete in the Leicester Road Running League, and has also competed in many Triathlon's including Sprints and Olympics, her most recent being the gruelling Dambuster event in Rutland.

Andrea is also a seasoned marathon competitor and has competed in numerous full and half marathons including the London Marathon, Leicester, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.

What is pilates?

There's more to pilates than developing "strong abs" or "core strength". Pilates is an exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture. It was created by German-born Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and incorporates elements of yoga, martial arts and Western forms of exercise.

Initially adopted by professional dancers in the US as an effective form of recovery after injury, pilates has steadily grown in popularity around the world, and includes celebrity fans such as Madonna and Jennifer Aniston.
